Seeing the world through a magnifying glass changes your perspective, just as if we think of the earth the size of a pea and ourselves like the universe. There is no objective view of the world. No one sees things as they are. Delusions and optical illusions build each person's conceptual world and shape the environment based on how we are in ourselves. All we see is our own reality.
To understand and get to know an object, I have to move it in order to observe it from another perspective. It has a different energy and changes character when taken out of context.
If we zoom in, frame, cut out and focus, we discover things that we didn't see before, precisely because the surroundings blocked out the content.

The jewelry in the Focus collection consists of cut out pieces, taken from a larger context, small segments that tell us about the whole.

Through digital reconstruction, changing the scale and reworking materials, the objects become more distinct and they simultaneously tell other stories. They have gained new meaning through a subjective recreation, with personal qualities and totally different feelings and colors.

Jewelry has many functions. Besides being decorative, it tells stories and casts light on the contents of life. Pieces of jewelry are small symbols of our conceptual world and send sublime messages, which preserve our experiences and memories.

Att se världen genom lupp ändrar perspektiven, likaså om vi tänker jorden i storlek som en ärta och oss själva som universum. Det finns ingen objektiv syn på världen. Ingen ser saker som de är. Illusioner och synvillor bygger var mans begreppsvärld och formar omgivningen utifrån hur vi själva är. Allt vi ser är vår egen verklighet.
För att förstå och lära känna ett föremål måste jag förflytta det för att betrakta det ur ett annat perspektiv. Det får en annan laddning och ändrar karaktär då det tas ur sitt sammanhang.
Om vi zoomar in, ramar in, skär ut och fokuserar upptäcker vi saker som vi innan var blinda för just för att omgivningen skymde innehållet.

Smyckena i kollektionen Fokus är utskurna bitar tagna ur ett större sammanhang, små bitar som berättar om helheten.
Genom digital rekonstruktion, skalförändring och materialbearbetning gör de föremålen tydligare och samtidigt berättar andra historier. De har fått nytt liv genom subjektivt återskapande med personliga egenheter och helt andra känslor och färger.

Smycken har många funktioner. Förutom att vara dekorativa, berättar de historier och skvallrar om livets innehåll. Smycken är små symboler för vår begreppsvärld och sublima meddelanden som bevarar våra upplevelser och minnen.
