GALERIE NOEL GUYAMARC'H

2+2+2 5th of October – 9th of November 2024 Eija Mustonen + Ketli Tiitsar + Jutta Kallfelz Helena Lehtinen + Sofia Björkman + Nils Hint The exhibition 2+2+2 is the result of a proposal made to two artists representedby the gallery Galerie Noel Guyomarc'h: Eija Mustonen and Helena Lehtinen to invite two artists of their choice. Having to choose only two became a restrictive, stimulating, perhaps destabilizing challenge and invites to discover a diversity of languages and approaches. I am thrilled to have been invited by Helena Lehtinen to exhibit in this extraordinary gallery along with artists I admire. Helena Lehtinen about Sofia Björkman and Nils Hint: Drawings and fragments from conversations . Two artists mastering their skills, both in material and artistic way. Light and heavy at the same time. Nils with metal and Sofia with PLA. Sofia’s layer by layer growing wonderful combination of plants, smoothly colored , creating a sort of garden , that you want to explore. Nils writing on the air. Seemingly light but hides the effort of forcing his hard material. Powerful , mysterious messages. Eija Mustonen about Ketli Tiitsart and Jutta Kallfelz: What I love about Ketli’s work is the way she handles the materials she uses and her deep and subtle understanding of different materials. The works are both rich and simple at the same time. Jutta’s works have found the essential, they lack nothing and cannot be added to. The works are very compact, sculptural. The material is deeply respected, and the treatment is always fully thought out and worked on. Address: Galerie Noel Guyomarc'h, 4836 boulevard St-Laurent, Montréal, QC H2T 1R5, Canada
